Operation Military Assistance
OMA seeks to minister to those who are serving
and have served our country
What we can do...
1 Pray
*Receive prayer requests for military personnel
*Pray for the needs of military families, deployed troops, and veterans
*Contact military members and families for prayer needs
2 Pre-Deployment
*Come alongside and help prepare for the separation
*Physically: help ready the house, car and other physical items
*Practically: help with any paper work, will or any funeral plan
*Spiritually: lead pre-deployment bible studies and pray with the family
*Emotionally: provide a listening ear and resources for send off
*Affirming and reassuring that the church will watch over their family in their absence
3 Deployment
*Stay in contact with family of deployed troop while he/she is gone
*Assess for any needs the church can meet
*Coordinate with other teams to meet those needs
*Serve as a point of contact between the church and the deployed person
*Update the service member with encouraging news from home
*Send a "care package" on a regular basis
4 Welcome Home / Re-entry
*Arrange and or assist with "WELCOME HOME" celebration
*Serve as mentor/support group during the re-entry period
*Provide counsel, practical help, and encouragment
